It was originally created as a nine-hole course in 1897, and was redesigned by renowned architect (and Newton resident) Donald Ross in 1920 as a full eighteen-hole course. Newton Commonwealth Golf Course is a beautiful, exceptionally groomed, public course located just minutes from downtown Boston.
